After these things

The Feast Days are appointments for a future time when they are no longer rehearsals (Moeds) and shadows of things to come, but are being fulfilled and giving life to a fallen creation, a dying Earth and what they represent and what is yet to occur on them, this conjecture is what occurs to me when reading just the first Seven chapters of the Book of Revelation,

Chapter 1 – Introduction and Church
Chapter 2 – Church
Chapter 3 – Church

“After these things” (after the church)

Then the narrative turns very much back to Israel in the use of idioms starting from Chapters 4 until 19 when the Church finally does reappear, but she now shows up riding in very good company.

Daniels 70th week is not about the Church, it’s about the completion of Gods work and promises made to David and Israel and counting from a set time from two specific requirements clearly outlined in Daniel Chapter 9 as being upon ‘Thy people’ Israel and ‘Thy holy city’ Jerusalem.

Chapter 4 – Feast of Trumpets – references to a trumpet, a loud voice like a trumpet, a door being opened, and as Jesus Ascended 10 days before Pentecost in 32 AD, the Feast of Trumpets is 10 days before Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. John is being told to ‘come up here.’

Chapter 5 – Yom Kippur – the judgment is set, the court is in session, on the day of Atonement the books are opened, God has a book in his right hand and who can take it and open it? No one is worthy or even able to look at whats written in the book, time is now over for the Earth and everything living on it, (but wait) this is a future Jubilee, the time of the restitution of all things, legally it requires that it must be declared on the 10th day of the Seventh month following the 49 years per the criteria being met from Leviticus Chapter 25.   Overlay this framework (of the Law) with the requirements from (the Prophet) Daniel Chapter 9 to count the 70 weeks of years and they can, if God permits,  coincide precisely.

Chapter 6 – The book is taken and opened, and by the only one found eligible to do so,  Jesus is our Kinsman Redeemer, our Boaz, the seals are now being opened and events are now being loosed upon the Earth by this legal action, this cannot be turned back or undone once it’s started, it had been restrained until this very moment.

Chapter 7 – Feast of Tabernacles – the multitude appears in Heaven, they are wearing robes and carrying palm branches and it is one of the three feasts, the other two being in the Spring, (Unleavened Bread) and in Summer, (Pentecost) that required any able-bodied person to appear in person.  In the millennium the gentiles will be required to appear in Jerusalem to celebrate it, which is interesting as here they are now in this chapter, everyone is showing up, coming out of tribulation, but events are just getting started on the Earth, you don’t want to be counted with the Earth dwellers after this point,

which is poured out for many

“And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, saying, “Drink of it, all of you, for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.”  Matthew 26:27-28

“This cup is the New Covenant in my blood, which is shed for you.”  Luke 22:20
